An update on your wages and working conditions … Myer employees received a pay increase on July 1. This is because unions – including the SDA – received an increase from 1 July 2017 as part of the Fair Work Commission`s annual salary review. The company has decided to increase by 2.4% to ensure that your salaries meet the legal minimum standards. However, the SDA does not believe that the increase in Australian wages is sufficient and that Myer members, like all Australian employees, earn better. At a time when wages are record, Australian workers need a significant increase in wages. The SDA will continue to work hard to represent you and advocate for fairer wages and conditions by negotiating a new Myer agreement.
